Sup gang my weekend was completely shot and I had to stay home from work today. But at least my cold wasn’t swine flu. I do have to be thankful for that. Its unreal I was all good through Thanksgiving popping Airborne on the flight and zip, nada no flu bug.

I get back to California with no problems so I hit the gym and boom next day my throat is sore and by Saturday I was completely KO’d.

To top it all off I was invited to a house party right on the beach Saturday and I had to cancel. There are always women at those house parties and here I am sipping Theraflu hoping the body aches just go away.

I hate wasting my weekends but man I had no energy and meeting women was furthest from my mind.

Older women reject sugar mama stereotype and rewrite rules on cougar dating

A host of popular myths about cougars – older women who exclusively date younger men – have been exposed in a ground-breaking survey by dating website Cougared.com.

A poll of more than 100 self-proclaimed “cougars” has revealed that the clichéd image of the older woman who prowls hotel bars and nightclubs for younger men represents a small minority in 2009.

According to the Cougar Report, the ‘New Cougars’ have moved on from the trendy bar-hopping ways of Samantha from ‘Sex and the City or man-eating Stifler’s mom from ‘American Pie’.

Rather than a night out at a glitzy cocktail bar or nightclub, the research revealed that the ideal date for a modern cougar woman is actually a cosy local restaurant or a home cooked meal; emphasizing a strong desire for romance as well as ‘no strings fun’.

And younger men who are looking for a sugar mama better not go “cougar hunting” because it turns out that most cougars either let the man pay for dinner or insist on splitting the check; perhaps a handy way to filter out the gold diggers and ‘players’.

Some key findings from the Cougar Report 2009:

• 52% of cougars are in their 40s, and their ideal younger man is aged 24-27
• 76% of cougars are either divorced or separated
• 44% of older women were kept secret from their younger man’s family
• 45% are ‘lifestyle cougars’, having dated more than five younger men

The research also discovered why older men are no longer attractive to cougars – and guess what? It’s not the beer belly that really puts them off, it’s a jaded attitude and emotional baggage. It seems that younger men are offering the New Cougars a way to recapture their carefree youth.

What’s more, far from simply seeking a casual encounter, the vast majority of modern cougar women are seeking a longer term relationship with a younger man – possibly inspired by the example of celebrity couple Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.

Oliver Jameson, founder of dating site Cougared.com explained why they created the Cougar Report said:

“There are a lot of myths around about cougar women and their attitudes to men and dating. One interesting aspect of this research is the discovery that women may be comfortable with the term cougar but they are also redefining it.

“Just because they are older and may have more cash that the guy they are dating, new cougar women are demanding that men pay their way and treat them with the same degree of courtesy and chivalry that younger ladies would expect.

“At Cougared.com, we felt it was about time someone got to the truth so that older women who date younger men are more accurately represented. Hopefully it will also help the guys get a better understanding of how to relate to them.”

I couldn’t help but write about George Sodini the murderer of 3 women at an LA Fitness in Pittsburg yesterday. I read what happened and as much as I feel horrible as to what happened I can’t help but feel a slight sense of pity for this 48 year who couldn’t land a chick.

This guy who hasn’t had a girl since 1984 or gotten laid since 1990 basically allowed himself the easy way out and instead took the lives of 3 women.

What did this son-of-a-bitch do? He blamed women for his lack of success and let his mind rot. Make no mistake about it – he allowed himself to become bitter rotting his mind over time.

To make matters worse for 9 months he kept a blog ranting against women and detailing his plan to attack women at the health club.

Because of his blaming women, three women had to die at the prime of their lives.

I am sick of these incidences of men who didn’t bother to man up and change their lives unleashing all their rage against those unable to defend themselves.

I wonder if this loser had a girlfriend what kind of man would have he turned out?

I would ask that you all keep Heidi Overmier, 46, Jody Billingsley, 37 and Elizabeth Gannon, 49 in your prayers.

Hello guys – glad to be writing again to you all and giving tips and advice on improving your dating life. Before I start I just want to say I hope your weekend was fun – gotta say I partied just a little too hard Friday and Saturday.

Okay I want to talk to you guys about having a “Plan B” when you are dating the women in your life. Yes I said “women” there is nothing wrong dating more than one if you so choose - the more you do it the better you’ll develop unstoppable confidence quickly.

What do I mean about having a – Plan B? Basically I’m talking about controlling the setting and having more than one place in mind to take her.

Side Bar: Always be the leader and make the plans don’t just say “Oh we can do what you want”. That’s lame! You will look not only clueless but also look like a wussy. It’s okay to take charge she won’t be offended.

Having more than one place to take her serves several purposes: 1) It could have closed down 2) You want to avoid your ex or hers 3) There are million and one other reasons to list here.

Point is to always have a backup plan in case the one you made doesn’t pan out. Here is an example why this is important. A couple of weeks ago I met up with my old roommate for drinks for happy hour. As we were talking she mentioned that this other place with great happy hour but it closed down that very week.

Now think here for a moment – you may have a guy wanting to meet his lady for cheap cocktails and when they meet up – the bar is closed. Now what does he do? Whips out Plan B and like no big deal he makes it happen.

I want to urge you to avoid the whole club thing – look they are loud as hell and there are guys that will trying to pick up your chick when you take a piss. Why create hurdles for yourself?

When I meet a girl for the 1st time over coffee I will always have two other coffee shops nearby I can rely on – the next being more unique than the last.

Well it’s been a sad week with the passing of two of America’s icons. Farrah Fawcett and the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. I remember being a little kid and saying “Whoa” the first time I laid eyes on Farrah and that red bathing suit.

I also remember the changing face of Michael Jackson – literally. I also remember his eventual downward spiral at least in the public eye. It doesn’t matter if you liked his music or not Michael Jackson was a true music genius.

Even though MJ was gifted and loaded with millions – I doubt the man was happy. I mean he was too out there to be considered eccentric and it doesn’t help that in his later years he contributed to his deteriorating public image with those infamous interviews.

It just goes to show that event though he was on top of the world he was alone. That sucks and I feel bad for the guy I really do. Sure he was loved by millions and the world is saddened but those people didn’t know him. Love and to idolize someone are two different things.

The next time you think that it takes money, good looks, power to attract women – just think for a moment and take a look at celebrities. They are more fragile than you think.

Just remember that money can’t buy happiness. Money is nothing more than a means to an end – that’s it!

If you feel that you must make loads of $$$$ to attract women – let it go! You couldn’t be more wrong.

Hey guys – I started a new job yesterday and I must say I’m loving it. Yep, I was laid off last month (what can I say – bad economy) however I was able to find work fairly quickly. It comes to a relief since I was running low on funds and basically keeping a low profile.

But so far I feel great and my new co-workers seem pretty cool. At least now I will be able to enjoy myself a little more and not keep such a close eye on my bank account.

Funny thing is that it’s still didn’t stop me from going out and having a good time. I made good use of coffee dates and meeting new people.

I would grab a free copy of urban newspapers that were full of fun new places to go and required little money to spend.

You can do the same as well. It doest matter if you make little money or even in between jobs enjoy your life!

I want to take a break away from the normal dating tips I share and bring to light the tragedy that occurred in Germany.

I’m sure by now most of you have heard the school shooting that took place by a former high school student that went on a rampage killing 15 people. I can’t imagine the pain the families must be going through but I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell was wrong with the shooter.

Of the 15 people killed in that high school 11 were female. So what made this withdrawn shy kid finally snap? Obviously it was depression and a host of other mental health issues he never took care of.

I just shook my head at this story after realizing that it was women he hated and felt it was necessary to shoot them like a coward.

I can’t fathom the pain this guy must have felt from loneliness only to fester into a deep depression he couldn’t dig out from. What a waste of a life and more importantly the devastation he left behind.

It’s obvious to me that this kid was most likely very shy and awkward in social situations and probably was bullied and teased by the other students. I am also willing to bet he had little success with the girls in his class. All this is not good for the mental health of a young teen is just trying t get through school with good grades but pile all this external crap on him and he was bound to snap.

I would ask that everyone just take a moment and say a prayer for the lives lost from this awful tragedy.
