It doesn’t take a genius to figure we are in a recession and we are cutting back on all our expenses to pay the bills. For many of us this recession may be wrecking havoc with your dating life but it shouldn’t.

No matter what economy you should never spend loads of money on a woman especially on the first date. All you do is lower yourself in her eyes she begins to look at you like an ATM machine.

In fact on your first date I recommend you don’t spend much at all. I personally take my first date somewhere cheap – a coffee shop.

Yep, a cup of coffee can do wonders simply because you can talk face to face and get to know each other.

Simply sit down and talk and find some commonalities and see for yourself if you actually like this girl. You may find that your date was nothing like the girl you met at the bar or club and can’t wait to excuse yourself and go home. She may be a Satanist, racist, casual drug user etc. etc. Pay attention and see what her personality is like.

All you want to do at this point is to talk and see if this is the type of girl you want to see a second time.

Be cool and just offer to pay the bill, say something like, “Don’t worry it’s no big deal.” At most you’ll spend $10 bucks for coffee and a couple of scones. Point is to not be a cheap ass and play it cool.

Your dating life shouldn’t be affected by the recession all that much all you need to do is find venues around your area that are fun and cheap.

Believe me your date won’t know the difference because she’s having too much fun.
