Last week I decided to take my 1st guitar lesson ever! I decided to learn after listening to some of favorite songs done in acoustic made me want to do the same. I have to admit learning an instrument with no previous training is very challenging.

I was inspired from the acoustic version of Joy Division’s “Atmosphere” on Youtube that it was time for me to learn something new. To be very honest I was at that point I my life were I felt I wasn’t doing enough. Sure I have a great job and I go to the gym and hang with my friends. However I think I can do more – so why not learn something entirely new?

I’m not doing to impress anyone or girls for that matter. I honestly want to learn something that will preoccupy my down time and expand my brain.

Point is that I’m in my early 30’s and I didn’t let that prevent me in learning something new or take up a new hobby. I just said “go for it” and I did just that.

I just wish there were cliff notes for this stuff but where would all the fun be. 

The lesson to be learned is if you think you can broaden your life then take up a new hobby, learn an instrument, learn to paint, go off roading anything that will expand your life.

I personally don’t like to sit around and do nothing. The great thing about new hobbies is that this will make you that ‘busy and in-demand guy’ with women. You have a life and you march at your own pace.

You don’t have to be that guy that wakes up in the morning goes to work gets home and sleeps just to repeat it the following day. Sorry but I actually want a life and that grind isn’t for me.
